Caring for a bedridden patient can be difficult, and requires a great deal of patience and understanding. Most of these patients have a hard time adjusting to this lifestyle and may develop significant health problems. As a caregiver, it is our responsibility to help the patient adjust – both physically and mentally. We will also need to help the patient with numerous daily tasks. Caregivers who provide care to bedridden seniors must be familiar with the common health risks associated with lack of activity and mobility.
